I'm am so excited to report I'm feeling excited to be back in the studio to create. I don't know what my deal was but for months now it has all felt so forced and I was sorta burned out. I don't think I have ever felt that way for so long and it was...well, scary. I didn't know if I would feel moved to create again. I know there is a natural ebb and flow to all things and it's usually easier to just ride it out, but it really took it's toll on me.

 I started on Sunday and it all seemed so right. I am so thrilled to feel this way again, like I can't wait to start on another piece. It feels SO good. Here are the two I have made so far. I am really trying to take my time with them and I really love how they both came out. So grateful that I can share my work with all of you again!

yoyo necklaces (recycled and vintage fabric)

I'm very rarely make something just for me. I took some time yesterday and today to craft up this necklace. I have been seeing differnt versions around the web and wanted to make some using my own fabric stash and pattern. I'm in love with it!

I have extras that I'll be making into more necklaces, if anyone is interested in having one I would be happy to make some up. I would sell each for $48.00 including shipping.

Folk Birds

I started a new series yesterday that has been swirling around in my head for awhile. It's inspired by P.A Dutch Hex signs, folk art, Scandinavian design and cuckoo clocks. I have a bunch more I would like to do in several different mediums. Here are the first to available for purchase in my shop.

OH and I wanted to say that some of the design elements in each are created using stamps from my dear friend Johanna and her company Just Johanna. We did a product trade and I was on the receiving end of some AMAZING stamps! I used a little vine design and two different tiny dot stamps. They are so much fun to use and you'll be seeing them pop up in my work now and again. Thanks so much Johanna!!

I'm Back, for bit

I have sort of been taking a computer/Tv break. I'm really trying to simplify my life and figure out what is really important. I'm distracted easily so in order to concentrate on a pretty big art-related to-do list I'll be hanging out here a bit less. I'll be popping in to let you know what I'm up to. You like when I have new prints in the store. Like today!! I added 6 new prints and I'm also offering a discount if you want to buy 4 prints at once.

I also wanted to let you know that my work is now available at Yes Gallery in Warren, RI. So if your in the area stop on by, Leigh is so nice and the place looks great. I'll be attending the opening this Friday. She has art from some of my favorite artist like Jess Gonacha and Rachel Ann Austin.

Sweet surprise in the mail!

I was contacted a while ago about giving permission to use an image of my artwork. The magazine was sweet enough to send me along a copy, since it's a UK publication. It's so fun to see my work in print!

Lovely bits of color...

Oh spring is finally here! Here are some bits of color to help keep you going today. O happy day!!

I'm in the middle of packing a bunch of things up to send out. You'll be seeing me a few more places other than Etsy. More on that later though. =)

To keep me motivated and on track I switched my mood board around the other day, it's still being added to. I'm loving it so far!

rushing again

I have a meeting at 3 today and I have to get groceries before that (I take forever to "make" the list but I won't even go into THAT now) so just a picture today....

p.s. like you REALLY needed to know we need groceries =)
