OH I have so many more presents to make this week so I'll be busy working on everything. I'll try to post some finished projects but I have to be careful. I know several family members read this! Did a little thrifting today and scored BIG time. I'm also planning on updating the vintage shop with some ultra girly "things" tomorrow if I have the time.
Hope everyone out there is happily checking off items on their to do/make list too!
Gabe and I were trying to kill some time today so went went over to Saver's. The thrift gods were smiling on us today because look what we scored!
I love the vintage owl. He's half glass/half plastic as he's a vintage Avon frangrance bottle. There were a ton of other owls which I managed to put back on the shelf...it took A LOT of restraint. I mean there was an big owl cookie Jar and 2 other REALLY cute figurines. I also got that cute donkey dish cloth and those cute painted plastic cups ( again retraint...there many many great ones of both). I thought the cups would make good flower vases or bathroom cups.
I jumped for joy when I saw the poster and I can't WAIT to see Gabe in that long sleeve turtle neck. Ack! Too cute!
The trip was made even better by Gabe not freaking out on the stroller (he was bribed with a match box truck) AND everything was 50% off!
HIP HIP HORRAY!
So I was out and about yesterday and I was wandering around lost (in my car) in Pawtucket(a town just outside Providence). Suddenly I see my kind of mecca.
A church sale!(You know the one...where cute little old ladies pull out all the stuff from their attic)
I thought of Dawn and in my head I said (ding ding ding!). So of course I stopped though I happened to not have cash on me. Just browsing I thought. WELL let me tell YOU....every table had a sign on it that said "Everything after 2pm is FREE". aaah...what!!?
So of course trying not to pee myself with excitement I toted away as much as I though my husband would allow. That being said there were a few other things I liked and am now kicking myself for not getting such as a wonderful old creamer that was very aged and crazed and chipped and stained and was so so sweet. More picture frames and some really cool lamps and more vases. Damn I wish I had stumbled upon the sale earlier, I bet it was goooood. Though I can't even complain because everything was well...FREE.
Ahh yes the thrift gods were smiling once again!
I'm a creative soul and SAHM to two amazing boys and wife to an amazing and super supportive partner..
